The sound installation 'Take aim / aimless' literally focusses, by means of a water vortex (parabola), pre-recorded sounds towards the visitor.
Detached from their origen, the sounds taken from the bars and cafés of Brussels - representing some of the versatile social fabric of the metropolis, serve as instruments for this installation.
The spatial qualities of the composed sounds in conjunction with the play back mechanisms address the specific acoustics of the exhibition space.
Aluminium, MIDI-controlled motors, 8 channel speaker system, Cockos Reaper multitrack software.
